Kady O’Malley asks a good question and one that’s surely been puzzling more than few people:
“WHY would random people start flooding a company with phone calls just because of a name collision?”
“It just doesn’t make any sense,” Kady figures, “unless, that is, there was a covert campaign to besiege the company with calls in order to freak out the owner, and escalate the situation to the next level.” Gee, ya figure?
Based on all accounts it seems like the unfortunate folks at Green Shift Inc. have been the target of mischievous keyboard commandos that have not only pestered the company by phone, but have inundated them with floods of e-mails. Hmmm. Now who would do something like that? Thinking, thinking... Oh my, that’s a tough one.
Unwanted Politics Update: GSI is still mewling and whining, now in The National Post (“…clients and supporters — which include the rock band The Tragically Hip — are likely to be more cautious about endorsing her company’s programs...” Boo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo!) and they’ve finally gotten around to mentioning that they’re in no way affiliated with the LPC’s carbon tax policy. Unfortunately, the button on their main page labeled “Unwanted Politics” leads to a page oozing with sanctimonious tripe and illiterate drivel like this: “We sincerely apologize to all of the businesses, institutions and individuals who are a part of the real Green Shift and sincerely hope that you will not suffer from anyone accidently [sic] thinking that you have ties to a political agenda.” Blah, blah, blah... What a bunch of eco-wankers.
