“Conservative” Advertising: “Totally Dishonest”

So says resource economist Marc Jaccard of Simon Fraser University. Jaccard is the award-winning co-author of the book “Hot Air” and in 2007 was appointed by Environment Minister John Baird to the National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy.

Update: A “Blogging Tory” said whaaaaat?

…how about an ad campaign that.... oh, I don’t know....doesn’t look a piece of crap? For God’s sakes, the poster on the Conservative website looks like a "Roll Up the Rim" ad, and the idea of a “talking blob” that looks like it was probably drawn on a children’s menu at Denny’s by a six year old is absolutely ludicrous. If you’re going to criticize Dion’s proposal on the carbon tax, and claim that he will raise gas prices, fine; but, at least try to act like you’re speaking to adults when you do so. Having a talking blob narrate how Dion is going to tax “everything”....I can honestly say I’ve seen “Yo Momma” jokes with more maturity and character than this.

Heh. Now there’s something you’d never hear in a million years from The Trusty Kool-Aid® Guzzler.
